Ascension – Energy Medicine For the Lightbody

Ascension can be quite uncomfortable as the vibrational frequency of the entire form, right down to the cellular level, is changing. It does not have to be difficult, though. Fortunately, there is a new form of energy medicine on the planet to help us move through this stage, and it is called EDINA energy medicine.

Energy medicine includes such things as Quantum Touch, Reiki, Touch for Health, Quantum Healing, Psych-K, BodyTalk System and Matrix Energetics. So what is special about EDINA? It works directly on the human Lightbody. The ancients certainly knew how to work on the Lightbody. Shamanic practitioners all over the planet used Lightbody healing techniques in ancient times, though they have been largely lost over the ages. Changes to the Lightbody will affect the physical, emotional and spiritual levels of the individual. While most of us can not see the Lightbody, we definitely can feel it. When we do EDINA, almost everyone can feel the light as it is introduced into the various parts of the body.

EDIINA's ability to reclaim Lightbody healing comes from ascended Starbeings from Sirius-B called the Ankenash, who are members of the Ashtar Command, and who interact with humanity with the permission of our own Spiritual Hierarchy.

So what is the Lightbody? It is the energetic duplicate of our physical body which leaves as we die. A light leaves the human body at the moment of death. I personally saw this three distinct times while giving a stranger CPR in an airport in 1990. Clear evidence of the Lightbody also comes to us in the form of Kirlian photography, where the Lightbody makes an imprint on the film-light can be photographed coming out of the hands of healers. If you use that photographic technique to look at a leaf, you will see a glowing version of the leaf. Then tear off a piece of the leaf, and you will still see light coming from the entire leaf in the next photo you take. Post why? It's because the Lightbody remains intact. And if a person has an arm or leg amputated, we know that they will still have sensations in the missing limb. It may ache or itch, for example. This is called "phantom limb" syndrome. The person is actually feeling sensations in the Lightbody of their missing arm or leg.

We work with the Lightbody directly when we practice EDINA. Connecting to the Ankenash, Starbeings from Sirius-B, we follow instructions from them as to which EDINA techniques to utilize for that particular client, and in what sequence. The Ankenash work on our clients (or self) in the expanded realms at the same time we are working in the three / four dimensions (or densities). Communicating with us telepathically either by words heard clairaudiently, or visions of what to do next, or just a felt sense, these loving Starbeings assist and guide us in the healing session. This light / energy also comes out through the palms of the hands. In the …

Florida Health Insurance: How Will Children Benefit?

Children with asthma, and other pre-existing health problems, have long been discriminated against when it comes to receiving adequate health insurance coverage. Lack of Florida health insurance among children has been well documented along with dire consequences.

That problem has been specifically addressed in health care reform. Unfortunately, confusion over changes to health care in the U.S. continue, including debate over how health insurers may treat children with pre-existing health problems like asthma.

What Does Health Care Reform Do For Children With Asthma?

As the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius may have the last word on this subject. In March of 2010, Sebelius directly addressed the issue in a letter to America’s Health Insurance Plans. After noting that the media had reported that certain insurance companies hoped to find ways around the section of the new law that specifically prohibited insurers from excluding children with pre-existing conditions from coverage, she stated the following.

According to Sebelius, “Health insurance reform is designed to prevent any child from being denied coverage because he or she has a pre-existing condition…To ensure that there is no ambiguity on this point, I am preparing to issue regulations in the weeks ahead ensuring that the term “pre-existing condition exclusion” applies to both a child’s access to a plan and to his or her benefits once he or she is in the plan. These regulations will further confirm that beginning in September, 2010: Children with pre-existing conditions may not be denied access to their parents’ health insurance plan; Insurance companies will no longer be allowed to insure a child, but exclude treatments for that child’s pre-existing condition.”

Her letter also lamented that “For too long, parents across the country have struggled as pre-existing conditions have prevented their children from accessing affordable, stable health insurance coverage. Health insurance reform eliminates this tremendous source of worry and helps ensure children have the care they need.” September 2010 marks the beginning of increased protection through health insurance in Florida for children, and those suffering with asthma may be seeing additional help in the future.

Does Smoking Contribute To Asthma?

Scientists long ago demonstrated that second-hand smoke hurt people, especially children, who suffered from asthma by increasing the incidence and severity of their asthma attacks. Following a 2006 ban on smoking in all enclosed public and work places in Scotland, researchers have now reported a decline in hospital admissions for childhood asthma.

Before the Smoking, Health and Social Care Act was passed, children were being admitted for asthma at a rate that was increasing by 5.2 percent a year. After the new law passed, investigators found that on average such admissions fell by as much as 18.2 percent every year. A decline in these admissions occurred among both preschool and school-age children. The ban even sparked an increase in voluntary reduction of smoking in Scotland homes.

What Are U.S. Researchers Saying About Smoking and Asthma?

Some researchers look forward to similar benefits here in the United States. As …

Kids and Health – We Have to Teach Them

Teaching kids about health and healthy living involves two key components. The first component is to teach kids about healthy lifestyles. The second component is to model a healthy lifestyle in your own choices and behaviors.

The Fun Way To Eating Healthy

It's common knowledge that childhood obesity rates are among the highest they've ever been. That means that you, as the parent or caregiver, need to provide healthy food choices for your children to select from. You can teach kids to make wise choices at home and when they eat out at restaurants, including fast food places. Emphasize that protein is an essential part of a healthy diet and that poultry, meat, and fish all contain high levels of protein. Teach them that protein works similar to the way fuel works in a train or other vehicle-their bodies need it in order to function properly and keep them going.

Teach kids about healthy choices for side dishes, as well. Carbohydrates are another important part of a child's diet, but there are both good carbohydrates and bad carbohydrates, so they should be taught which are the best carb choices when making their selections. Fruits and vegetables are the best sources. Pasta, rice, and potatoes are good choices, too, but whole grains are the best. A proper serving size for these items is approximately cup. You will need to show children how much that actually is, and the best way to do that is to demonstrate it by serving portions of that size.

Please not that some fats should be included in our diet. Do not get rid of them as a whole. I am not a big fan of sugars, but some sugar is OK just do not let your children over indulge.

Exercise And Health

In past decades, kids used to play outside until the moon appeared. These days are quite different. More and more parents are looking at the safety concerns when leaving children outside with no supervision. Work days are even more hectic which means that any kids activities need to be scheduled in order for our kids to play.

When kids do have free time, kids these days are frequently involved in sedentary activities like gaming, computer time, or watching television. There are some innovative video games that promote healthy activities as a part of the experience, and this is a great way to incorporate exercise with gaming; however, the majority of video games are still sit and play games.

The best way to teach kids when it comes to healthy exercise is to allow them to participate in fun healthy activities.

Let's get our kids back outside to playing the old fashion way by using the swings and slides, chasing one another, and playing the old game of tag. This alone will get the heart pumping. Skating and jumping rope as well as riding a bike and walks in the park will ensure healthy habits.

Healthy Hygiene Is Important

When your kids were tiny, most …

Healthy Breakfast Recipes, Snack And Desert Recipes

Eating a well balanced meal.

Healthy breakfast recipes snack and desert recipes are a step in the right direction but not if you do it just once a week, You've probably heard people say .. eat your breakfast, it's the most important meal of the day. Well, they're right, Breakfast provides your body with energy after an 8 to 10 hour period of fasting. While you do not expend many exercise calories while you sleep, your body still uses a lot of energy for it's metabolic functions.

Skipping breakfast is like forgetting to put gas in a car when the gauge reads empty. Although you may not cease to function you may feel terrible and have very little pep. If you enjoy healthy breakfast recipes snack and desert recipes, it gives you the time to eat those time release energy capsules and complex carbohydrates.

Three meals a day is traditional in America, however many nutritionists believe this is not the best way to eat. They note that three meals a day give people most of their energy in three bursts. Between these bursts people lack energy to compensate for feeling tired, someone might eat a candy bar or some cookies between meals, as this provides an energy boost but also increases ones calories and over time ones weight.

These nutritionists suggest we become grazers instead of eating three large meals daily, consume small amounts throughout the day. This may not be possible during the school year, but mid morning and after school snacks are not a bad idea. Make the energy from those healthy breakfast recipes snack and desert recipes last by avoiding simple sugars and the yo-yo effect.

The Yo-Yo Effect.

Simple carbohydrates are found in refined foods, such as white flour or granulated sugar, as well as in fructose the sugar found in fruits and honey. They also provide energy. Eating too many simple carbohydrates, however, may lead to major problems in the body. They cause a rapid rise in blood-sugar levels, which stimulates special cells in the pancreas to secrete large amounts of insulin, which is needed to enable the body to use glucose effectively.

Without healthy breakfast recipes snack and desert recipes .. too much insulin is secreted which causes a rapid fall in blood glucose levels. This can result in the loss of pep and energy or even faintness. If you eat a candy bar to give yourself more pep, your blood sugar again skyrockets, your pancreas kicks out more insulin, your blood sugar falls, and, after a short while you crash again. This yo-yo effect is very common in kids today because of the amount of simple carbohydrates they consume in Junk food and soft drinks.

Fat is Needed for Good Health.

Good healthy breakfast recipes snack and desert recipes and fats are very important to our diet. They are necessary for the production of many hormones in our bodies, and to absorb fat soluble vitamins and build nerve tissue. Because fats contain twice …

Fatigue – Declining Levels of Sleep and the Effects on Health and Productivity

It is certainly the case that in the developed world we are now sleeping considerably less than we did a generation ago. This comes as no surprise as the rise of technology means we can now entertain ourselves into the early hours.

However, the more I read the more I become convinced that a great many modern day ills could be cured if society understood the impact that not getting the correct amount of sleep has on us both in terms of performance at work (or school) and the impact on our health, especially the modern-day pandemic of obesity. It is all too easy to see sleep as a necessary sacrifice but thinking that reducing sleep will enable us to do more could not be further from the truth.

It is generally considered that we require between 7 and 8 hours of sleep a night and that getting less than six hours of sleep has negative consequences on productivity and health. It was with some concern that I came across the results of a 2006 GMTV poll that showed that 19% of us were getting the recommended 8 hours of sleep a night and that 42% of people in the South of England are getting less than 5 hours .

New parents and teenagers are typically the most sleep-deprived people in society. A study for Mother & Baby magazine of 3,000 mothers showed that mothers today average a mere 3.5 hours of sleep in the first 4 months of a child's life (versus 6 hours for their parents) and then just 5 hours after 18 months.

Another study by Actimel and Top Sante magazine in 2007 showed that 75% of women in their 30s are lucky to get 6 hours of sleep a night, 85% of 30-something women frequently feel tired and of those 59% feel tired all the time . These statistics are worrying for the health and productivity of our nation!

The US Government's National Health and Examination survey of March 2007 (18,000 people) showed that those who slept less than 6 hours a night were 23% more likely to be obese than those who slept between 7 and 9 hours. This rose to 50% for those who slept under 5 hours and 73% in those who slept under 4 hours. Boston School of Medicine also revealed that those who slept for less than 5 hours a night were 2.5x more likely to develop diabetes versus those who slept 7 to 8 hour a night.

The Harvard Business review found that a week of sleeping 4 or 5 hours a night induces performance impairment equivalent to a blood alcohol level of 0.1% (the UK drink driving limit is 0.08%). So whilst we applaud those who work long hours we would be less impressed if we saw our colleagues tucking in to a couple of pints of beer before work every day.

The problem is that fatigued people do not believe their performance is impaired even though objective scores …

Patient Education: A Proactive Element Of Healthcare Practice

Patient education or client health education can be described as a learning relationship entered into by the nurse and client. The content and learning activities are directed toward providing knowledge or skills needed to meet specific health care needs. Patient education is an important function and responsibility for nurses at all levels of care. Nurses spend an enormous time caring for patients but in many instances minimal time in helping patients understand the causes of their health problem, measures to prevent complications from diseases and ways to maintain optimal health. Should nurses therefore become more proactive in the delivery of patient education? Patient education can be defined as any communication between patient and health-care provider that intentionally addresses a learning need. The nursing process provides a method for individualizing patient care and education for each patient and event by collecting data to identify the needs and problems of an individual patient and family. Patient education is expected to allow the patients to have a better comprehension of an aspect or certain aspects of their health condition, health needs and care. These educational encounters take place in traditional health organizations such as hospitals, community diagnostic centers, and non-health care settings and as such they can be formal. Patient education is therefore essential to guarantee that the patient is informed and knowledgeable about his or her condition, which will facilitate improved health.

 Advocating For More Patient Education

There is a high need for developing a more structured aspect of patient education, for patient care. Patients who have a strong understanding of their disease or illness are much more likely to recover fully and do not have repeated relapses but benefits with the result of better health and an improved understanding of how they need to live to continue to have optimal health. However, the medical staff, health care facilities and insurance companies also benefit by having a reduced number of unnecessary hospitalizations and ER visits and ultimately impacts and benefits all taxpayers (state and federal) (Jernigan, 2009).  Identifying those most interested in developing skills in patient teaching, providing resources, time, expert input and developing an expectation among the general public for better education and information regarding health and well-being are essential elements to providing and maintaining optimal health. This will also improve quality health care delivery, practice and health care systems. Assuming more responsibility for patient education in the ambulatory setting keeps patients healthier and keeps medical conditions from worsening (Anwar, 1996). It can reduce the need for hospitalization and patients can be taught the importance of prevention, early treatment and overall health maintenance (Anwar, 1996). Patient education is therefore extremely critical to ensuring patient adherence to prescribed regimens for both chronic and non-chronic conditions. It is even more critical because it helps prevent complications, promote self-care and independence, and reduce readmissions. Patient education as an important aspect of treating the patient  provides patients with instruction about their care and provides direction for preventing complications. These complications can cause …

Top 10 Best Hospitals and What Makes Them Great

A recent survey by U.S. News and World Report ranks the top hospitals in the United States. The 2009 rankings are based on several factors, including the hospital’s mortality index: How good are they at keeping their patients alive? Obviously, patients are very interested in that statistic; but health insurers also want to know when they are determining which hospitals to include in their network. Hospitals included in major health insurance companies’ plans will see more customers and revenue than those out-of-network. A positive reputation among doctors is greatly coveted and also plays a large role in a hospital’s rank, since medical professionals are presumably more knowledgeable and better able to judge their quality. Other elements of a high-quality hospital are the availability of advanced medical technology, its experience in certain specialties, the quality and ratio of nursing staff, and other patient services. Finally, top hospitals take great care to keep their patients as safe as possible. After all, nobody–especially an insurer–wants to pay to fix another hospital’s mistakes.

So which hospitals are the best in America, and why? For one thing, they are renowned for their practices in at least six specialties, making them national destinations for quality health care. They are also renowned for their success in dealing with a large volume of complex medical conditions. Many top hospitals are centered in the Northeast, maybe because the region has long been a hub of educatio n and industry innovation. However, there are also highly ranked hospitals in the Midwest, South, and along the West Coast. If health insurance companies are willing to pay for an expensive treatment, they would prefer to reduce the risk by going to one of these well-renowned facilities.

  1. Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Marylandhas been #1 on this list for nearly two decades, and with good reason. U.S. News gave their ear, nose and throat and urology departments perfect scores of 100.00, and the neurology and neurosurgery department received a nearly flawless 98.4%. In addition, its cancer unit is third-best in the country.
  2. The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota is known worldwide and has become a reliable brand in the field of health knowledge. Its most successful programs are those in Diabetes and endocrine disorders, digestive disorders, neurology and neurosurgery, and orthopedics; all of which ranked #1 on the U.S. News list. Mayo Clinic was also #1 hospital on their inaugural Best Hospitals list in 1990.
  3. California makes its highest entry on the Best Hospitals list with Los Angeles’ Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. The city’s sunny climate probably attracts a large population of retirees, and the #1 geriatric care unit in the nation is well-equipped to treat them. Other top 5 specialties include psychiatry, rheumatology, ophthamology (through its Jules Stein Eye Institute), and digestive disorders.
  4. Cleveland Clinic, based in Ohio but with outposts across the U.S., has the top heart and heart surgery department in the country. That’s especially impressive because heart surgery is one of the most complicated
