Hey, kids! You can still catch Janet & Julia the first Thursday of every month at the White Palace in Purcellville, where their years of shared stages prove themselves in the effortless flow of their music. These women just can't help having a great time in this casual atmosphere of great food and friends, and special guests make every show an experience!

Janet Emma Garbe is back from a very successful recording session in Texas, where she worked with ultimate Texas twangman Walt Wilkins to produce her first solo record, Ghostfields. This cool blend of East Coast lush & Texas lean, graced by Janet's elegant vocal delivery throughout, hit the streets in May, 2009. Janet's has played a bunch of gigs with her new band, including opening for Eric Brace at the Tortilla Factory! Listen to tracks and find out more at janetemma.com.  Janet and her record have been nominated for THREE Wammies this year!!  Janet will have a dream come true in Mar 2011 when Band House Gigs plays the Barns of Wolf Trap in their Byrds Tribute where Janet will be a featured singer.

Julia Kasdorf has been pulled away by a number of sirens. She recently wrote and co-produced with Bob Holmcrans her powerful eco-tune, Thin Blue Veil. Is your eco-movement is searching for a theme song? Go download it and some other cool tunes free! She's concentrating on getting songs published via Taxi. Go check out some of her new stuff at myspace.com/juliathinblueveil. She has also been recording on a weekly basis with Pete McNeil at his studio in Leesburg.  They are building up a catalog for their music co-op, Alt-230 Publishing.  More on this later!  Julia is getting her rock 'n roll animal out by slinging a tele in her new outfit, Julia & the Ready Boys.

Julia is also building her music teaching business, Waterford Music Lessons.  Come on over to learn all kinds of bass, guitar, pedal steel, keyboard. and stuff.  Julia says "I wasn't looking forward to the end of OHT, but there are so many other musical ideas I want to chase down. Right now I'm really enjoying learning to play Mozart on the piano, then there's my fiddle and my telecaster..."

Drummer Danny Schwartz is keeping busy playing with all kinds of folks, including scenester hipster Justin Trawick. Pedal Steel man Lynn Kasdorf has several upcoming gigs with the great Baltimore authentic country singer, Arty Hill . Arty really knows how to lay down the Hank, and the Hank, and even some Hank, as well as Ray, Buck, Merle, Wynn, and other greats. Lynn gets a chance to play real country music and really stretch out on steel. Also, check out Lynn's Western Swing band, The Oklahoma Twisters, 15 years and going strong!

Stuart Martin has lots of cool things going on, too, including his new rocking trio. Find out more at StuartMartin.org
